Forbes Eisteddfod Results

Forbes Performance team performed at the Forbes Eisteddfod yesterday (Sunday the 26Th of July). Everyone looked amazing and danced so well. I am extremely proud and can't believe how much everyone has improved!

Junior Modern received a merit award for 12 years and Under Modern. Junior Jazz received a 1st place for 12 years and under Jazz and the Senior Modern received a
1st place in the Open Modern section. What fantastic results!

Congratulations Forbes Performance team

The Forbes performance team had their stage debut at the Dubbo eisteddfod last Saturday. The girls dance extremely well and i was so proud of them! Such professionals already and this was their 1st Eisteddfod! The girls competed in the under 12s modern and Jazz sections and received 3rd for their amazing effort in the Jazz, the modern was also very beautiful. I got teary both times the girls danced, i can't believe it was their 1st eisteddfod.

Great work girls you should be extremely proud of yourselves! Keep up the hard work!

The girls next stage performance will be Forbes eisteddfod on the 26th of July!

Performance team Dubbo stage rehearsal.

Hi everyone,

Forbes Perfomance team WILL be perfoming in Dubbo Eisteddfod on Saturday the 13th of June! (A note with times and hair and make up requirements will be issued soon)

There will be a stage rehearsal in Dubbo this coming Sunday 1pm untill 2pm at Wesley hall(Wesley hall is behind the Civic centre). I am so sorry about the late notice but the venue only confirmed today.

I think it is important that the girls have a practice on a decent size stage, especially seeing that this is their 1st Eisteddfod ever.
I have emailed most of you and if i didn't have your email i have asked other parents to pass on the infomation.
Peformance on Saturday will again go for an extra 45 min.

Congratulations Zac!

Stepping Out would like to congratulate Zac on his acceptance to Hunter School of Performing arts in Newcastle! Zac auditioned about 3 weeks ago and he came to dancing with the exciting news that he was excepted just this week!

We are so proud of Zac! Can you believe he only started dancing last year... it just goes to show that hard work pays off!

Congratulations Zac. We will definitely miss your smiling face on Saturdays! Zac will still be with us for the rest of the year and then he will be off the the big smoke to start his dance career! So make sure you keep an eye out for him in the end of year concert!

Just a reminder performance team........ please don't forget performance will go for an extra 45min tomorrow. Please make sure you are all there for the whole hour and a half as we will be finalising the routines. I hope you have all been practicing for your witch doctor roles............

Great new everyone!!!
Miss Leesa's bundle of joy has finally arrived!!!! little baby boy Phoenix Erwin Chaseling arrived into our world on Saturday night!!!! weighing 9lb 4 which is 4.2kg!! He was just in time for mothers day!!!!!!!
Stepping out Forbes would like to send our love to Miss Leesa, Aaron and their families!!!!!!! Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy!!!!!!!!!
We all can't wait to see some photos!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week of classes!

What a fantastic term we have had! I have enjoyed every minute of it!
This week will be our last week of classes for the term then we will be having a two week break. I have had allot of enquiries about this Saturdays classes and yes we are still having them so i will see you there at normal class times :).

A big thank you to Miss Leesa who came to Forbes last Saturday to help with performance! She is very proud of everyone! Miss Leesa will be back next term to check on our progress, so keep up the hard work!

Many of the Forbes Students were shocked to see Miss Leesa pregnant :) yes Miss Leesa is expecting a new little baby boy these holidays!!! How exciting!! I will be sure to post the exciting news on the blog as soon as it happens!!

I will be attending a week ADAP (Australian dance assessment programme) workshop in the holidays as well as attending classes at Sydney Dance company! So look out for all my new moves next term!!!!! As i will be full of inspiration!!!!

Miss Leesa, Miss Jacinta, Miss Kirshiah, Miss Rachel and myself will also be attending Sydney Fitness expo in the holidays, to release our Dance Nation DVDs in NSW!!!! How exciting, we can't wait! I have herd fantastic feedback from those Forbes students and families who have purchased the DVD! Thank you for the feedback!

I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!!! I will see you all this Saturday!!!!! for our last class this term :)

Classes finish this week at 1:45pm, intermediate ballet for this week only is at 1pm and there is no performance, Snr Modern or Snr Hip hop but only for this week!

WOW what a start to 2009!

Last week saw the commencemnet of classes in Forbes for 2009! It was great to see everyone back from 2008 and lots of new faces! It was great to see so many students taking on new classes and trying new things! Miss Jacinta had a fantastic week with her classes and I had an AMAZING day on Saturday everyone was a pleasure to teach, i had so much fun and all students worked very hard!

Also in regards to the timetable, ADULT hiphop has been moved to Tuesday nights from 7:30- 8:15 due to other commitments with the venue. Junior Ballet has been moved to Saturdays from 12:45 until 1:30. Junior tap has also been moved to Thursday afternoons 6:45 until 7:30. Those who enrolled in the Junior ballet and Junior tap were informed of these changes at enrolment day. If you need a new copy of the timetable or have any questions please send me an email.

I hope that everyone had a fantastic holiday and i can't wait to see you all in class. Don't forget classes start back on Tuesday the 10Th of February!

Just letting you know that enrolment packages were sent out at the end of last week, looking forward to seeing you all next Wednesday at the Uniting Church hall.

Forbes Enrolment Day!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year!

Forbes Enrolment day will be held on the 21st of January at the Uniting Church hall from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. Please keep an eye out for your enrolment packages in the mail, they will be sent out in the next few days!

2009 is going to be another Fantastic year at Stepping out Forbes, as we are introducing some new classes!!!

Wow, What an Amazing Concert!

Wow everyone! I am so proud of you all!
Everyone who danced today looked so amazing! You have all worked so hard all year and it has really paid off! I watched every group today with a tear in my eye. Every single student has improved so much!
I think you would all agree that it was well worth the trip to Orange for the concert! The stage and lighting were excellent and really showcased all the fantastic dancers! The costumes were amazing also thanks to Gail for making all those fantastic costumes i couldn't have been happier, she did a great job!!!! Also thanks to Sonya for making the Snr Modern costumes, they were stunning.
